Learning Styles
To hit the varying learning styles of people in a learning session, good trainers must juggle some very diverse elements. A learning style is the way an individual begins to concentrate, process, internalize, and remember new and difficult material. There are varying schools of thought on learning styles, but generally there is agreement that we all fall into one of four commonly recognized categories: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and/or tactual. Assessment tools can be used to determine a persons most prominent learning style.

When we design a course at Creative Training Concepts, we take learning styles into consideration, and develop client’s materials so they accommodate all learner types. This minimizes the occurance of learners losing interest and “dropping out.”
Impact of Games
Can you imagine during a training session, giving a “pop” quiz? It sounds plausible and even reasonable, but the reality is, in many organization’s this rarely happens. So how can you assess your employee’s knowledge in a friendly and productive way without intimidating them or putting them on the defensive? A game!
Games add a fun, interactive element to any learning experience. They engage learners in the training session and they’re a great way to review your material. Games change the pace in the classroom or during your presentation and provide an opportunity for everyone to participate, even if they are not the one answering the question. Games help your audience retain more information for a longer duration.
